Govt caps application fees for jobs, including BCS, at Tk 200

The government has capped the application fee for all government jobs, including the BCS exam, at a maximum of Tk 200.
This decision was made during a meeting of the Secretary Committee on Administrative Development.
Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Md Mokhles Ur Rahman, shared the decision with journalists today after the committee meeting held at the Secretariat.
Currently, various government jobs require different amounts of fees. Candidates have to pay a fee of Tk 700 to apply for the BCS exam.
The demand to reduce application fees for government jobs has been longstanding among general students. This decision fulfills that demand.
